Quilting, Food and Friends.

Our 6th Quilt "Sewcial" is over and was enjoyed by all.

The weather was perfect, the Ladies were fun and the food was great.

Everyone arrived at 9:00 AM and we set up for a full day and night of sewing, eating and making some new quilting friends. Projects came out of bags - some had been in the bags since the last "Sewcial" and some even longer. Nice to get those UFO's done so you can move onto a new project without any guilty feelings. Other projects were just getting started.

It never ceases to amaze me the different quilts, tablerunners and other projects that everyone is making. Quilting brings out the creative side of all of us. You can have a pattern and do it the same way as the photo on the cover - or you can use your own style and fabric choices and make it one of a kind. Fun to see the same pattern done by several quilters and see how different they can look, just by changing the fabric.

As our gift to each "Sewcialite" they received a Humbug bag that contained a tiny scissors and a spool of thread. Patti H. made most of them alone, I just helped with the pinning on a few at the end. She sews like wild fire so I just get in the way. As always - many thanks to her for all her help in making this a special day for all our guests.

Patti H. also took alot of photo's and will be posting them to our website and I will also put a selection on my next blog.

We are now getting ready for our 7th "Sewcial" on the 25th. We added the 2nd day because the 6th filled up so fast. We do still have openings if you missed out the first time.

Thank you to all who attended and I sincerely appreciate your support of Fabric Town and your friendship.

Patti
